Dance performance in our exhibitions: Saturday 9 March, 13:00–14:30

9 March 2024
Cecilia Hillström Gallery invites you to a dance improvisation and performance in our current exhibitions with Dina Isæus-Daggfeldt and Philip Dufva. The performance will take place in the exhibition space improvised by two dancers, Elise Nuding and Yari Stilo, based on their impressions of the artworks. During the event, the performers will enter and leave the gallery room and the audience is welcome to come and go as they wish during the session.

Saturday 9 March between 13:00–14.30. This is a non-seated event, free of charge and no booking is necessary.

Elise Nuding is an artist-researcher working with dance and choreography. Her work has a transdisciplinary orientation and explores the entanglement of the human and non-human and the intersections between language, writing and dance. Elise holds a M.A. from London Contemporary Dance School and is currently a lecturer in dance at the University of Gothenburg. Recent performances from 2023 include 'Performing Underscore' (Platform for Improvisation and Somatics) and 'En musikalisk fantasi om Lapp-Nils' (Estrad Norr).

Yari Stilo is a performer and dance artist based in Stockholm and he has been working around Europe for the last 20 years. He received his training in several Western dance techniques and later studied choreography and performative practices at Stockholm University of the Arts (SKH). In 2023, Yari performed in Samuel Feldhandler's piece 'George Tremble' with Weld Extended and in Poste Restants's immersive work 'General Public'.

The exhibitions with Dina Isæus-Daggfeldt and Philip Dufva are on view until 6 April.
